Winnipeg, Manitoba

Winnipeg is a great place to call home! With a population of about 700,000, Winnipeg is a clean and safe city, with economic stability, affordable housing and opportunities to grow and prosper. Winnipeg is well known for its rich cultural environment, including art galleries, museums, theatre, ballet, the symphony and more. Winnipeg offers a wide variety of restaurants, beaches nearby for summer fun, winter sports, parks, a zoo and Children’s Museum and a great deal for families to do year round.

Our Jewish community has developed a reputation for being a welcoming place to raise a family.

Winnipeg has a Jewish population of approximately 16,000 from various streams of Judaism. Its institutions offer a wide range of exceptional programs and services reflecting the diversity and energy of the community. In the last few years, our Jewish community has been enriched by the arrival of newcomers from around the world. Many Jewish families have immigrated to Manitoba through the Manitoba Provincial Nominee Program and the Jewish Federation of Winnipeg. More than 500 families have settled successfully in the last 10 years with the help of Jewish Child and Family Service’s Resettlement and Integration services program.
If you’re thinking of making a move, we can help answer your questions and guide you along the way. Contact the Jewish Federation of Winnipeg to learn what Winnipeg has to offer you and your family.
We look forward to continuing the tradition of welcoming new families into our midst.
