JEWISH FAMILY SERVICE, VANCOUVER AND SHALOM BC  FORM JEWISH INTEGRATION COUNCIL OF GREATER VANCOUVER

Jewish Family Service Agency of Vancouver and Shalom BC have expanded their current newcomer program to a new level.  The Jewish Integration Council of Greater Vancouver is comprised of a few professional staff and volunteers who are representing their different national homeland communities.  The group manages the following projects:

Airport Pick-up:  Individual members meet new immigrants and newcomers at the airport and provide transportation to their hotel or other accommodation.

Welcome Baskets: Gift packages are personally delivered by a Committee member to welcome newcomers to the community.

Telephone Resource Network: A telephone resource for newcomers that provides accessible contacts in their own language.

Community Events and Programs:  Year round cultural and social events inclusive to all.

For further information on Shalom BC services and the Telephone Resource Network please call Laura Moscovitz at 604 257 5111

For information on Jewish Family Service Agency services and the Airport, Welcome Basket and Community Program, please contact Charlotte Katzen at 604 257 5151.
