Rosh Hashanah begins this year at sunset on September 26th

Rosh Hashanah celebrates a beginning. It is especially significant for those who have begun a new life in Canada. For some of us this is a first Rosh Hashanah in Canada, for others it is a newly acquired ritual, which they were deprived of for many years. For those of us who were born here or who have lived here for many years it is a familiar tradition.

This is a time for each of us to look inside ourselves and reach out to our friends, families and near ones. It is a time when we reaffirm our commitment to Israel, our community and the Jewish people.

On behalf of the Board and staff of JIAS Canada we extend our warm wishes to all of you.

May each and everyone of us merit a year full of health, happiness, peace and blessing.

Leslie Wilder               Mila Voihanski                   President                    Executive Director
