Leadership with Service Providers
• To represent the Canadian Jewish community in its work with government, locally and overseas, as well as other immigrant serving NGO’s with respect to immigrant and refugee settlement in Canada
• To educate and sensitize the Jewish community regarding immigration
• To advocate and liaise with government to improve their immigration policies
• To fight prejudice and bias regarding immigration
• To provide leadership and support to local communities in facilitating the immigration, resettlement and integration process
• To provide leadership in identifying trends, needs and priorities of immigrants
•To work closely with the service provider organizations
•To establish national standards for service in order to ensure equity and fairness in treatment of individuals
•To promote best practices among the Jewish immigrant serving agencies in order to enhance the quality of services being provided
•To collect and analyze statistical data and other relevant information regarding immigration in order to assist in understanding issues facing immigrants so they can be addressed
